1.In world of warcraft should i keep mining and leatherworking or should i pick up alchemy and herbalism?

It all depends on what you want the outcome to be..

You can look at it in two different ways, do I want gold, or do I want to help out my guild with crafting things other people can or eventually can use.

If you are looking to make gold, check to see what sells good on your servers AH and make the choice accordingly.

If you are looking to help out a guild, ask your guild what they need more of..

From the looks of what you chose to begin with, I am goin to assume that you want the gold...If that is the case stick with mining, and switch leatherworking to jewelcrafting, as leatherworking is useless without skinning and mining is worthless without jewelcraft and so on

You go to Stormwind and talk to any of the guards (click them and theres an option to go to professions) and go to the professions you want and they will put a marker for those profession trainers on your mini map.

3.World of Warcraft Herbalist/Alchemist?

I am a Level 16 Warrior and decided to try Herbalism and Alchemy so I could make my own potions and sell them too.

Anyonw know if it is a lucrative profession? Should I try something else when I make a new character?

Its a pain to raise but it pays off in the long run as do all crafting professions. The big bonus of being an alchemist is that you can transmute stuff which can bring in a lot of money. If you are an elixir master you get this really good trinket that has +15 to all stats and some other bonus.
